The bid to break the Eskom wage negotiations deadlock continues in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

Unions and Eskom are thrashing out differences at a special meeting of the central bargaining committee.

Eskom is offering workers a 7% pay hike, but the unions are rejecting it, demanding at least 8%.

Meanwhile, workers are threatening to plunge the country into darkness should the power utility not meet their demands. – Afro Worldview Reporter
