LONDON’S biggest shoe retailer and leading fashion footwear brand, Office London, has arrived in South Africa courtesy of its new owner, fashion retailer Truworths.

Office London has more than 180 stores in UK, Ireland and Germany. It was acquired by Truworths last year. “We pride ourselves on our unique product range – created by our in-house design team and global brand partnerships, all of which are recognisable by their individuality, design and quality,” Truworths said yesterday.

Adidas, Nike, Converse, Vans and Puma are just some of the brands available at Office London. This comes just after SA’s Truworths International announced it expects full
year profit to remain stable or edge lower.

Retailers have complained of tough trading condition as consumer spending declines, high unemployment and inflation plights disposable income in the nation’s first recession in eight years.

Truworths has confirmed opening 10 Office London stores in August, with one already operating in Canal Walk, Cape Town and seven more expected to start operating today in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban. Truworths said this was a new international fashion shoe destination with all the top sports brands.
